• Alabama church planting & development

CP& D is committed to establishing new church plants in the Alabama District by three core strategies:

    • Working with and recruiting Church Planters who have the call of God to build a Church

    • Developing relationships with established Churches to utilize their personnel and resources to plant churches around the District

    • Working with established Churches to assist in planting new churches such as satellite churches and Parent Affiliated churches

Do you sometimes hate those first meetings with people? You know the kind that university life seems to be packed with:

Hey. How are you? What’s your major? What dorm do you live in?

Over and over again. When really we all just want to be able to kick back and be comfortable with each other. But sometimes you gotta go through the awkward to get to the comfortable.

So: we’re Chi Alpha. We’re great, thanks for asking! We don’t have a major – although we are on university campuses all over the world. We’re a network of Christian ministries that look a little bit different on every campus – but here’s what you’re always sure to find: college-age men and women who are at once wrestling to become who they are (through school or work or life experience), and to connect with God. You’ll probably find people who are in all kinds of stages of both pursuits: self-discovery and God-discovery.

Metro Ministries is a spiritual lighthouse shining in Mobile's inner city where innocent children are often surrounded by violence, drugs, and other societal dysfunctions so prevalent in America's cities.

Missionaries Bill and Cheryl Gray have worked in Mobile's inner city for over twenty years helping children and youth discover Jesus Christ and apply Godly principles in their daily lives. With the help of volunteers, Bill and Cheryl Gray use discipleship training, music, drama, crafts, drug prevention, day camps, and other non-conventional teaching methods and seasonal outreaches to equip children and teens to complete their education and become leaders in their community.

Addiction is a term of convenience and is a common reference dealing with habitual or repeated behaviour but does not serve our definition of process or underlying cause. We do not serve addictions per se, we serve spiritual strongholds, we understand them within the context of sin, and we deal with strongholds exclusively through evangelism and discipleship as defined by Scripture – there is nothing else in our model. We don’t do treatment, we disciple. We don’t focus on behaviour as much as we focus on identity in Christ. In short – we are an expression of the church. None of the above statements should be construed as critical of clinical approaches, but their purpose is to accurately understand the historical evangelistic and discipleship identity of Teen Challenge that has been unequivocal for over fifty years... more info

Women's Ministries came out of the burden to encourage and support missions. Missions remains the heart of Women's Ministries and its main reason for existence. Along with that great call is a mandate to minister to women in the society in which we find ourselves today. As our culture has experienced incredible shifting, meeting the needs of women has become a broad and complex calling. Women of all ages find themselves in roles and positions of responsibility that our society has not experienced in the past. The landscape of our culture has been dramatically altered in these recent times in the areas of morality, spirituality, relationships, finances and more. We often see a fracturing of lives due to these changes that the only lasting solution for women and their families is the message of Christ love as experienced like in the story of the Samaritan woman at the well...
