Vision After School Program was established based on a longtime vision of Pastor Spence Walker at CenterPointe Assembly. This vision has now also become the vision of the members of CenterPointe. The church longs to see children from the surrounding community receive free education, mentorship, and spiritual guidance.
Here at Vision, we want to help parents who are working full-time, are disabled, or have other complicated situations, and need a safe place for their children to go after school hours. After School Programs can be costly and transportation may be nonexistent for some, so we want to offer a free program with free transportation for children.
Our staff members also want to help parents who are unable to attend school meetings or who are having trouble helping their child academically, behaviorally, or socially. Our director, Sarah McKinley, has an education and counseling degree and will go into the schools as the liaison between the parent and the school, as needed by the parent.
